Cooking Class with Ed Brown
Sat. August 1, 2009

Edward Espe Brown is a Soto Zen Buddhist priest and an accomplished chef, who helped found Greens Restaurant in San Francisco and has authored many books, including The Tassajara Bread Book. Ed has been teaching people “How to Cook Your Life” for years and will bring his mindfulness teachings to the Santa Cruz on Saturday, August 1, 2009. Ingredients will be provided by the fabulous Freewheelin’ Farm on Coast Road and the class will be held just down the street. We’ll cook from 2-5pm, then sit down to dinner to enjoy the fruits of our efforts. Please contact patricia@coastroad.net if you are interested in signing up. Cost is $65.
“A cook's mind is supple and flexible enough to do justice to the beauty and particularity of fruits and vegetables and is always ready to warm to the task.” – Ed Brown
